FRC's Prayer Of The Day and Comment

Today the Family Research Council is asking its followers to pray that the nation's judges rule against LGBT equality.

Please pray for our judges, especially on the U.S. Supreme Court, that they will rule aright when they hears these cases. Pray for the lawyers who will argue our position on natural marriage. May pastors and believers across America awaken to what is happening and get engaged! May the Lord intervene to stop these efforts to homosexualize our nation – and to indoctrinate our children with evil! (Ex 23:1-2; Lev 9:15; Dt 1:16-17; 25:1; 1 Sam 8:6-7; Jn 7:24; Rom 1:32; 2 Tim 2:1-8; Jude 7)

The Hate Group, FRC, has daily prayers for their followers and I have no problem with that. I think prayer is good. I pray every day. Mine are more along the lines of helping a sick friend, watching over a friends flight, comfort those in need or fear, helping me find peace and understanding, ...you know...help make the world a better place for all human kind sort of stuff.
I do not pray for made up stuff like "Natural Marriage", whatever that is. Biblical marriage is out of the question. I refer you to the lovely Mrs. Betty Bowers for a quick lesson on that.
I am not in the habit of picking out only the passages I think I will follow while ignoring others or the over all point of the whole word but then I am a pagan and we don't have that many rules or passages to make notations from. We mostly follow the first rule which is "Harm none, do as you will." Notice that "Harm none" comes first and includes yourself.

I am guessing it means to make being gay seem normal/natural, a part of the human condition. I always thought it was and lots of professional people and orgs. say it is. How come when they say it it sounds like a bad thing?

Education is not indoctrination according to this definition so teaching children that gay people exist, are the same as everyone else, contribute to the community and history as well as ask questions and come to their own conclusions is not an evil thing.
The indoctrinated person is NOT encouraged to ask questions or think outside the doctrine much like the folks at FRC. They are all told being gay is evil and not to think otherwise.


So who wants to "indoctrinate" who?

Kudzu - The Monster Weed

I was Skyping my Mom this morning and found out that the beautiful vine that has covered my back fence is a Monster weed that is taking over the world!

Look up Kudzu at Wikipedia.org and follow the links from there.
Very versatile plant and a good thing too. Is seems we will have to learn how to use the stuff because it is VERY hard to get rid of and is spreading exponentially!

Kudzu can be used in basketry and clothing to  erosion control and also to enhance the soil.   It has been used and tested for its health benefits and for it's culinary delights.
Sounds good right?

Kudzu has been spreading at the rate of 150,000 acres (61,000 ha) annually In the US and has been transported and seen in many other countries around the globe.
It is almost impossible to kill and it can come back years later after you thought it was gone.

I am going to go learn more and maybe try it as a tonic or start weaving baskets. OuuuOuuuOuuu ...I feel a sculpture coming on...

AUSTRALIA: 26 Suicides Blamed On Pedophile Catholic Priests

Even though 26 suicides have been attributed to the actions of pedophile priests such as Father Robert Best (above), local Catholic officials in Australia say that no inquiry is needed into the deaths. All of the suicides occurred at schools where Best taught. He has pleaded guilty to dozens of counts of child molestation.

Bishop Connors on Tuesday said not even revelations from Detective Sergeant Kevin Carson that 26 young men had killed themselves after being abused by priests and brothers in Ballarat convinced him that more would be learnt from an inquiry. "I think we've learnt a lot of things about what is appropriate behaviour and what's not appropriate behaviour," Bishop Connors said. "I think people are very well informed nowadays as to what's inappropriate approaches from a male." While conceding the abuse of children was wrong, he said that in the past it had not always been clear to everyone what was appropriate and inappropriate behaviour. "In the past a lot of ignorance was there on the part of lots of people. Parents didn't understand, sometimes bishops didn't understand. We have no excuse now."

An inquiry IS NEEDED to find out what went on and help any other poor souls that are suffering. It IS needed to jail the ones that did this.

What part of "Keep your hands off the private parts of children" do they not understand?!

Every day there are Catholic priests being busted for past and present sex abuse of children and they just keep getting away with it. The church knows this is going on and helps to hide these sick men as well as pay off those who suffered at their hands.
Our government supports this ring of child molesters by giving them tax exempt status.
If this was any other business, they would be shut down!

 

Last Known Gay Surivor Of The Nazis' Concentration Camps Dies At Age 98

Rudolf Brazda, believed to be the last known gay survivor of the Holocaust, has died at the age of 98.

Brazda was sent to the Nazis’ Buchenwald concentration camp in August 1942 and held there until its liberation by U.S. forces in 1945. Nazi Germany declared homosexuality an aberration that threatened the German race, and convicted some 50,000 homosexuals as criminals. An estimated 10,000 to 15,000 gay men were deported to concentration camps, where few survived. When a memorial to the Nazis’ gay victims was unveiled in Berlin in 2008, the LSVD said the last ex-prisoner that it knew of had died three years earlier. But the group said it was then contacted by Brazda, who visited the memorial at its invitation and became an honorary member. Brazda was born in 1913. He grew up in the eastern German town of Meuselwitz and repeatedly ran into trouble with Nazi authorities over his homosexuality before being sent to Buchenwald.

Earlier this year Brazda was named a knight in France's Legion of Honor.

MARYLAND: Guilty Plea In McDonald's Attack On Transwoman

One of the teenagers caught on video in a brutal attack on a transwoman at a Baltimore McDonald's has pleaded guilty.

Teonna Monae Brown, 19, pleaded guilty in a Baltimore County court to one court of first-degree assault and one count of a hate crime in the attack on Chrissy Polis, 22, said Baltimore County State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger. The April attack brought attention nationwide to the plight of transgender people, with thousands signing online petitions and holding rallies. Prosecutors expect to seek a prison term of five years when Brown is sentenced next month.

The second attacker pleaded guilty last month and was sentenced to a juvenile facility.

 

I attended the gathering the night after the attack and had the pleasure of meeting Chrissy at the Gay Pride Parade. She was very nice and humbled that our group, Rainbow Club at the Community College of Baltimore County, had her name on one of our signs for transgender rights.

After watching the video, there was no other option than to plead guilty for both of them. I hope the judge throws the book at Teonna Monae Brown. This is the second time she has started a fight at the same Mc Dees in a year.

If any other business had this much child abuse going on they would be raided, shut down, and every one involved or had knowledge of the goings on, would be arrested and jailed.
The Catholic church not only is grossly behind the times but harbors and protects perverts.
They are so anti-gay that they are shutting down adoption centers and food banks everywhere there are anti- discrimination laws. They are NOT thinking about the kids and adults they serve. They are only thinking about the money. Money that goes to hide child molesters and pay off the people they abused.

Why are these child molesters above the law? How many other kids has this sick old man molested behind his robes? How many of these perverts are sitting in jail?

When a member of any other religion is caught or accused at least the other members leave and their ministries fail. The Catholic church just keeps on going.

I can not understand how a person could call themselves a catholic when they don't follow most of the made up "rules" such as no condoms, no pre marital sex, hate gays, and so on. Then to give any money to them to pay off the mounting law suites because of the molesters they protect. That is a SIN !

Father Jaime Duenas was busted inside his own rectory yesterday and charged with molesting a teenage girl.

“She didn’t protest to getting a massage,” Duenas said in his cell before his arraignment last night, according to prosecutors. “She was wearing short skirts.” Duenas was arraigned last night on charges of sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. He was released without bond. The judge ordered the priest to stay away from the victim.

Duenas is 87.

An official with the Catholic Church has been busted for possessing and producing child porn. Ho hum, you say? How about if he was in charge of stopping people exactly like himself?

A child protection official for the Catholic Church has been caught with 4,000 pictures of child porn. Father-of-four Christopher Jarvis was arrested after uploading pictures of children being abused to a website. Married Jarvis, 49, a former social worker, was employed by the church following sex scandals about pervert priests. His job was to monitor church groups to ensure paedophiles did not gain access to children in the church’s congregations. But he was caught by police in March with more than 4,000 child porn images on his home computer and his work laptop. He admitted 12 counts of making, ­possessing and distributing indecent ­images when he appeared before ­magistrates in Plymouth and is likely to face jail when he returns to court for sentencing next month.

USAToday profiles NCAVP study on rise in LGBT hate crimes

Two weeks ago, Tim Beauchamp wrote a post about a new report from the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs (NCAVP) about the rise in Hate Crimes against the LGBT community in 2010.

Today, NCAVP's study is profiled in USAToday. And, there's an analysis of why crimes have increased:

This rise is no surprise to Suzanna Walters, professor of gender studies at Indiana University and author of All the Rage: The Story of Gay Visibility in America.

Walters says that ongoing homophobia is hidden because of increased visibility of support for the LGBT community, including New York's legalizing same-sex marriage and the repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

"These positive changes are very real, there is no doubt about it, but the more visible you are as a community the more vulnerable you are, too," she says. "There is a protection in the closet, as awful as that is. Real homophobia with violent outcomes is not a thing of the past and there is much more work to be done."

Yep. More work to be done.

Ex-Gay Watch reports today that Peter LaBarbera's SPLC-certified hate group, Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), lost its tax-exempt status in 2010. Yanked by the IRS!

According to the IRS, the tax-exempt status of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) was revoked on 5/10/2010 (PDF). The reason for this action is listed by the reporting organization Guidestar as a “failure to file a Form 990, 990-EZ, 990-N, or 990-PF for 3 consecutive years.” These forms are required of legitimate non-profit organizations for review by the IRS and the public. While the current incarnation of AFTAH appears to have been active since 2006, we found only one form 990-EZ on file — for the year 2009 (PDF). In this, total receipts are listed as $110.000, out of which Peter LaBarbera received a salary of $75,000. For perspective, this is approximately the same salary plus benefits claimed by Exodus president Alan Chambers. Exodus lists eleven employees and a million dollar budget.

Ex-Gay Watch notes that AFTAH's website no longer mentions a tax-exempt status. They add: "Thousands of organizations exist which claim that homosexuality is a sin or otherwise immoral, only eighteen are listed as true hate groups by the SPLC. AFTAH is one of them."

 

Every Hate Group should have it's tax exemptions taken away. Our government should not be supporting Hate Groups.

At the first-ever NAACP town hall on LGBT issues last Monday, July 25, lesbian actress/comedienne Wanda Sykes talked about how the black church preaches that being gay is "an abomination" so she tried hard to pretend she wasn't a lesbian, including getting married. But then she realized that something was wrong, "Hey, you don't have breasts. That's what it is." She said "praying away the gay" doesn't work and leads to alcoholism and other problems.
Recently out CNN anchor Don Lemon moderated that panel during the NAACP's 102^nd convention at the LA Convention Center and also said that "praying away the gay" didn't work for him either.
