Kidnapped For Christ - Important Film About the Evil Things People do to Their Gay Kids.

This came from joemygod.com.  The video is hard to watch and I am sure the full film will be also but it is going on everywhere and MUST stop.

From the film's about page:
The film centers on the story of David, a straight-A student from Colorado who was sent to Escuela Caribe in May of 2006 after coming out to his parents as gay. Like many others, David was taken in the night without warning by a “transport service” and was never told where he was going or when he would be brought back home. While at Escuela Caribe, David had no way of communicating with any of his friends or family back home until the filmmakers arrived and he decided to ask them if they would smuggle out a letter that he had secretly written to his best friend.
It's not clear when and where the film will be distributed.

Lesbians Just Need Jesus (And Cock) - Don't Think So

Just in from joemygod.com

"Pam [Spaulding] needs Jesus, when Pam meets the Lord that yearning for a member of the same sex will change. She’d probably make a fantastic mother and would enjoy having a husband who was born male – no Chaz Bono business – born male – and meet her man, and rock her world, in the name of the Lord." - Pastor Patrick Wooden, speaking on Peter LaBarbera's radio show.

Wooden and Porno Pete are upset because Spaulding correctly characterized Wooden's as one the of the black "rent-a-pastors" that hate groups regularly trot out to "prove" that blacks don't agree that the LGBT rights movement is similar to the black civil rights movement.

I am a regular reader and fan of Pam's House Blend. She is a voice for her state and for the transgender population. Pam's site is one of the few gay news sites that include transgender news and commentary and I have learned much about the discrimination and misinformation of our transgender brothers and sisters.
As usual, this guy does not have a clue what being gay is.
Back in Ohio, I can't count how many times I have been told that I "Just need the right man".
It does not work that way! Even if it was Jesus, but then I don't think Jesus really cares about such things. He is more concerned about loving everyone, feeding and housing everyone, working together to make a better world for everyone.  Maybe Jesus should return to offer a refresher on what it means to be kind, understanding, tolerant human being instead of hateful, name calling, money grubbing, intolerant, POS that manipulated his fine words to be weapons. I'm Pagan and know more about the Bible than this guy.
By the way... Jesus is one of the three people I would love to have dinner with. Would that be cool or what!

Did Maddona "Misbehave"? - Hell Ya!

While I could care less about football, I do love the commercials and the halftime show.
I was busy messing around in the studio for most of the game but made an effort to be parked on the couch for Madonna. If you missed it....click here

Wow! I love the entrance and every song. The floor and light show were awesome and I think the World Peace at the end was very good. We all cheered.

I am ashamed to say I am the same age as Madonna. She looked and danced great! The costumes were awesome and the dance teams had great energy.

Of course, I was watching to see if she "misbehaved" and DAMN if she did! Several times! Lets see if my list of bad behavior comes close to the list that surely will be posted from Bill "Blowhard" Donahue of the Catholic League.
While I was hoping for a wardrobe malfunction, I think the planned show did the job.

1. Right off the bat she start with the controversial "Like a Prayer". One of my favs.

2. Due to the costume theme some guys were in tunics which could be considered a dress by the Right. The great "low wire act" was sure to piss off Bill because it was a boy in a dress.

3. What lesbian worth her salt would not love to watch Madonna rubbing around with a beauty during "Different Kind of Girl"

4. Of course there is the "Flipping of the Bird" by  M. I. A. during her close up in “Give Me All Your Luvin'”

Take that Blowhard Bill!

BJ's Pot Luck-O-Crap

This is just some of the crap that came in today. I find most of it funny and sad. These people are delusional. I am sure they believe they are right and they are. Very far to the right.
Why would you listen to a any person tell you about a "lifestyle" they never lived?  I am so over str8 (maybe not) people telling me about the way I live. They don't have a clue so they make shit up to make us look bad.
Why don't people believe us when we say we were born this way? So many of us say this but because there is no scientific proof ( the only science they are allowed to believe) so we are all telling a huge lie.
Why is your chosen religion more important than supporting equal families? The divorce rate was messed up BEFORE we started getting married. We have couples that have been together 50+ years and are legal strangers. We all deserve the same benefits.
Ya know, even str8 kids get bullied (some to death) for looking or sounding gay. Bullying is wrong for everyone, not just some. Your chosen beliefs are NOT a pass to bully.

Try telling that to these people.....

Catholic League: If Madonna Misbehaves At The Super Bowl, The NFL Will Pay
Bill Donohue, art critic and anti-gay blowhard, warned the NFL not to have Madonna play the half time show. They did not listen. Now I guess he will spank them if she "misbehaves". I sure hope so! A wardrobe malfunction would be nice.

From Goodasyou.org comes this short audio of an X-gay making an Xtra large ass of him self before the NJ Assembly Judiciary Committee. Remember readers that there are no such things as X-gays and to try to change can and will be damaging. This guy is really damaged. There is NO WAY IN HELL this guy lived the "homosexual lifestyle" for years and can't understand why need the laws to change to protect and promote our families.

Audio: 'There are more ex-gays than gays -- that's just a fact' LOL LOL LOL LOL

One Million Moms Against Ellen, Part 2 . Real quick....After Ellen came out on her show, JC Penny's pulled there support. Many moons later, they ask her to be the new spokesperson. I see progress.  One Million Moms don't like it. They don't like much frankly. I think it is a small bunch of housewives who's kids are grown and the old man has not retired yet so she is left with nothing to do. I heard the best line from "Overboard". "You're so board, you have to make shit up to bitch about!"

NOM gets blasted on its blog for lying about military chaplains

This great piece is from holybulliesandheadlessmonsters.com

This is good.

Recently, the National Organization for Marriage's president, Brian Brown, put up the following on the group's blog:

Last April, the Navy issued new "sensitivity training" guidelines that required Navy chaplains to perform same-sex marriages. Thanks to leadership from Congressmen Tim Huelskamp and Todd Akin, the Navy backed down and rescinded the guidelines.

Of course this is a lie. The letter actually said chaplains can choose to perform these marriages. They are not required to.
This deliberate lie was noticed by several bloggers. Rob Tisiani of Box Turtle Bulletin said the following:

This falsehood is now up on NOM’s blog, where I’m banned from commenting. I invite you — ask you, beg you, beseech you — to go there and point out the truth to NOM’s readers. They won’t believe it (they might not even get to see it!), but that doesn’t matter: there’s something to be said for telling the truth just for the sake of telling the truth.

I am also barred so I couldn't respond. NOM consistently bars commentators from its blog who make it a point to challenge the group on its lies, even if the challenges are done in a respectful manner. However apparently a lot of folks who aren't barred took it upon themselves to tell NOM that Brown's claim is a deliberate lie. Some of the comments are as follows:

Brian - Perhaps you should show us this REQUIREMENT for chaplains to perform same sex weddings. No pastor has every been required to do so and you know it. While gay marriage never made it into the 10 commandments, I'm pretty sure lying did. How do you reconcile this?

"Required" is not a synonym for "allowed."

NOM caught lying again, at this point it's redundant.

Liar Liar Liar they are NOT required to perform them there is a moral exemption clause in the general order.

I think the policy should be that Brian Brown should get his facts straight. That's a joke--I know I'm not answering your question. Seriously though, this type of flagrant inaccuracy is unacceptable at any level, especially for the president of a national organization. NOM supporters, you should demand the truth. After all, you're the ones giving away money.

Interestingly enough, one of the few comments in support of Brown's post doesn't exactly help NOM's sweetness and light image:

I called and made another donation to NOM. We ask a lot of our military, having to worry about someone staring at their backsides should not be one of them.

I guess you can't be shocked when trash attracts trash. If you feel inclined, go to NOM's blog post and remind the organization that lies in the name of God are still lies

Here is what I had to say on the NOM site. It has net been posted yet.

You do know that your lies are being noted and corrected all over the net.
We are over you and the lies you spread to drum up funds. This has been reported to the Southern Poverty Law Center who is keeping tabs of the constant lies NOM tells to make LGBT people look bad.
I already think of NOM as a Hate Group because of the lies, twisted truth, and misleading studies you present as "facts"
A lie is wrong no matter what religion you are.

Update on Ellen

Citing yesterday's JMG post about the AFA's attack on Ellen DeGeneres, GLAAD has launched a campaign to thank JC Penney for selecting a popular openly gay spokesperson. Hit the link for a Change.org petition and for JC Penney contact details.

One Million Moms Against Ellen

UPDATE: Readers note that JC Penney is tracking the responses to this complaint. Use the AFA-provided numbers: "Make a personal phone call to JC Penney's customer service department. Their numbers are 972-431-8200 (customer service) and 972-431-1000 (corporate headquarters)."

I saw this at joemygod.com and naturally I go and read the comments.
JCP did pull their support of Ellen's show back when she first came out and the LGBT population was ticked off and boycotted them. I don't think JCP suffered much damage. Now, many moons later they are hiring her as a spokes person and the other side wants to boycott them.
"The times they are a changin....."

Many people have called to express how great it is that Ellen will be the new face of JCP and there has been a huge sigh of relief from the other end of the phone. It seems that they are getting alot of negative calls from those Mad Moms and would welcome some good feedback.
Make your calls today and thank JCP for picking Ellen.
972-431-8200 (customer service) and 972-431-1000 (corporate headquarters)."

As one comment from joe's went;

"Ellen.

Possibly the most well-liked, uncontroversial, endearing homo on the planet. The adorable, gee-whiz, actually-uses-the-word-gosh, goofball voice of Disney's friggin Dory in Finding Nemo.

She's the human equivalent of a kitten. "

I agree.

This Just Won Her $10,000

My One Thousandth Post - Thank You for Stopping By

Dearest Readers,

This is my 1000th post.

It took over a year to make it this far. Every day I read tons of news from all over the net. Most of it relates to my LGBT brothers and sisters around the world. Some of it is the art I find along the way.

It is hard to take in too much so I just try to keep abreast of those things that matter to me and use this blog to share not just the news but how I feel about it.
Having missed only a few days, I have managed to post 4 or 5 things each day. Some that speak for themselves and some that require my commentary.

I do this as one more voice for the causes I believe in. I don't know if it has made any difference but passing along information is one way I can contribute

Your comments are savored. Each one is valued so keep them coming.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing.

I Knew They Put SLIME in my Food!

You have all seen or heard about the Pink Slime in our food by now.
YUCK!
I know they put questionable stuff in our food so I don't eat fast food. Not a big fan of burgers and can't eat bread.
I do make some cheese burgers at home that put the rest to shame. Try waffles instead of a bun.
I come from a family that loves food and a few love to cook.
I am the oldest and started cooking first and I still have and use my first recipe. Cranberry Crunch
Even if you don't like cranberries you will like this.
I am not going to post it. It is mine. Just like the box full of every recipe from my folks restaurant, I will hand it down to my oldest son.
My youngest brother is AWESOME with food. I like to watch him cook. His timing and knowledge is a dance. You should see his face when he is tasting something. He loves to cook.
He lives and breaths his job as an Executive Chief in a fancy historical place. My oldest brother, both sons, and on occasion the wife and myself all work for and with him.
Because I like to cook and know what real food tastes like, I never cared much for "fake" food.
Something is lost making fast food...taste.
Something is added.......Pink Slime

Don Cornelius Commits Suicide - So Sad

What a shocker. Soul Train creator Don Cornelius has apparently committed suicide at the age of 75. Here's what little is known so far.

"Soul Train" creator Don Cornelius was found dead at his Sherman Oaks on home Wednesday morning. Law enforcement sources said police arrived at Cornelius' home around 4 a.m. He apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the case was ongoing. The sources said there was no sign of foul play, but the Los Angeles Police Department was investigating.
"As always in parting, we wish you love, peace, and soul."

Here's a recent interview.

I was a fat kid with 3 brothers and one black and white TV. Band Stand was OK but Soul Train was great! I heard music and saw dance moves that have stayed with me and Dons voice was smooooth.
I am sure he had good reason and he went out on his own terms.
You made history and will be missed by many.

NOM Loses Again But Won't Give Up the Names

From the Associated Press:

An appeals court on Tuesday upheld the state's campaign disclosure law that requires a national anti-gay-marriage group to release its donor list, but the group plans to take the fight to shield the list to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The decision pertains to ballot question committees in Maine and represents a second defeat for the National Organization for Marriage, which previously lost a challenge to the state's political action committee laws and laws governing independent expenditures and advertising attribution and disclaimers.

The latest appeal focused on part of the law that says groups that raise or spend more than $5,000 to influence elections must register and disclose their donors.

The NOM, which says it was founded in 2007 in response to the "growing need for an organized opposition to same-sex marriage in state legislatures," donated $1.9 million to a political action committee that helped repeal Maine's same-sex marriage law. It said it believes that releasing the donor list would stymie free speech.

"We already know that the homosexual lobby has launched a national campaign of harassment and intimidation against supporters of traditional marriage, so there's a good reason to keep these names confidential," said Indiana lawyer James Bopp Jr., who's representing the NOM.

Mary Bonauto, an attorney with Boston-based Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders, said Bopp's claims are an attempt to divert attention from NOM's failure to follow Maine disclosure rules.

As long as they can appeal, NOM will not give up the names of their supporters. They claim that it could be dangerous if the list is posted because the big bad queers will go after them.

First, it is the law to list anyone who has given more than $5,000 and they have been told twice now that they are NOT exempt from disclosing the names. Until they have run the gambit of appeals, they are not going to give it up nor is anyone going to jail.

Second, it is suspected that the Catholic church has filtered a ton into NOM and that would not be a good thing for NOM or the church WHEN it comes out.
The problem is that by the time the Supreme Court makes a judgement, the damage will be done.

Maine is not the only state they are hiding information from. They are spending big bucks in several states to shield their supporters.
The big question is why are they trying so hard to hide the list of names.
If they are all about "Supporting traditional marriage", why are they trying to undo other protections for LGBTs? Why aren't they working to make getting a divorce harder? Or dumping money into teaching kids that marriage is not something disposable despite the way folks in the news make it seem.
Britney Spears married 55 hours.
Kim Kardashian married 3 months
Newt Gingrich cheated and married 3 times

This is not the fault of equal marriage. In fact, LGBT couples who have been lucky enough to get married, do not have the option of getting a divorce. There are a very few who have after much time and money but the laws are not set up for it.

My wife and I were married in DC. The only way we can get a divorce is if one of us moves there and lives for a year before we can even apply. Maryland requires the couple to separate for a year before applying.

They are trying hard to make it seem that "Traditional or Natural Marriage" will stop because LGBTs can marry. This is one of many lies told by NOM and others like them.
People are not going to stop getting married and raising kids. The 50% divorce rate THEY created will not be affected by equal marriage.

LGBT folks are not going to stop making commitments and raising kids either. We just want the same protections that they get for doing the same thing. Working hard as a couple and doing the best job they can raising kids.

So what are they afraid of? That we will do a better job at staying married? Better at raising kids?
Finally seen as the first class, contributing, happy families?

Oh Goddess forbid!
