Well folks, there is some good and bad news for us LGBTs and I'll post some later. Right now I have a gripe about batteries.
With all the high tec stuff comes the high cost of batteries, chargers, car chargers, and replacements.
My wife is a tec freak so as soon as a phone upgrade is available she has the latest new one.
I get the old one.
This upgrade needs all new car charger and cover or case as well and they are not free or cheap. Now she does not have a problem dragging cords around for all her stuff. One bag for school is full of wires for laptops and phone.
I hate being chained to a wall by a cell phone or laptop. What is the point of having the "freedom to go anywhere" if that really means "the freedom to find an outlet anywhere".
I have a desk top computer and my phone sits on the desk almost all the time. I never have to worry about my computers batteries running low or out and my phone needs to spend more time on the charger than not even when I do not use it.
My phone has all the whistles and bells. Touch screen full of apps I don't use, games I seldom play, and info alerts I still can't turn off. I do not like phones let alone one that tells me when I have mail, text, or actually rings. The battery runs out after just sitting all day unused!
It does not like to be used in the house so most calls are taken or made outside. I often forget to take it with me which is why she got me a cell phone in the first place.
Our house is full of remote controlled games, toys, stuff...... and we spend a ton each month on all kinds of batteries as well as chargers plugged into every open outlet that suck up juice even when not in use.
Why can't manufactures make a battery that will last? If you are going to make new and improved stuff, why don't you make a new and truly improved battery for the damn thing?!
My phone sits on the desk so much I should just go back to one that is plugged into the wall with a recorder. At least people would understand when I don't answer my phone.

Food for Thought - Greek Yogurt - YUM
When I was around 9 or 10, yogurt was being introduced to us Americans. It was the food of great minds and very old people living on mountain tops in far off lands according to Dannon.
My Mom became a big fan. It was a treat for her to sit on the front porch swing alone and enjoy a fruit at the bottom cup of yogurt. After sharing some of this pure pleasure with her only daughter, I became a fan as well.
Yogurt was a hit and made it's way into our everyday cooking and eating.
Problems....They started blending it for us and then pulling all the fat and sugar out until is was like jello. Then they made the serving smaller while upping the price . Now you can find yogurt in a tube and ......yuk....drinkable.
This is not yogurt. It is crap....pure and simple.
Good NEWS!!! There are several yogurts out there that are fat free and no cholesterol !!!
Greek yogurt is AWESOME !! Thick and creamy that tastes like yogurt is supposed to.
I have tried 2 brands so far.
Chobani is very good if you get the quart size. I have found the individual serving size to be a bit small and if it has fruit, a little watery.
Greek Gods is great! I have only seen it in single servings which are a nice size. The fruit does not make it watery but it is puree with few pieces of fruit.
I personally like honey, vanilla, and plain in that order.

Christians New Book of Lies, Buy One Now ! - Scary Video
This is being run on Christian TV. I would LOVE to have a copy of the book. I can only imagine what is in it.
I will bet it is full of lies to scare the holy crap out of parents so they send their kids to an x-gay camp to pray away the gay or toss them in the street.
This is the kind of crap we have to find a way to stop. Religious freedom does NOT mean they should be able to steal peoples money with lies.
I will you know when I can get quotes.

Disturbing Lies
How many out right lies do people have to say before they are told to stop? How many times is a person or group allowed to tell such horrible lies and filth before they are no longer Tax Exempt? At what point do the lies, hate, and plain sick shit become hate speech?
Here are a few examples of the latest vomit to hit the news.
From Matt Barber of the Liberty Council comes this gem....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is Linda Harvey and Gary Glenn, two homophobes on the radio agreeing the gay community is full of disease-ridden folks who should be discriminated against:
Glenn: What ridiculous folly to suggest that only those individuals who engage in homosexual behavior given all of its severe medical consequences constitute the best and the brightest. It’s not really bright to engage in behavior that puts you at dramatically higher risk of mental illness and substance abuse and AIDS and cancer and hepatitis, and according to various sources, premature death. So to suggest that engaging in that type of behavior defines someone as the best and brightest, which seems to be the line coming out of corporate America, is just ridiculous.
Harvey: You’re right. And higher rates of domestic violence and unstable relationships. I would not think of a homosexual person as a good employment risk, I just wouldn’t.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And here is a nice quote from Les Kinsolving of World Net Daily .
"Is there any medical evidence in existence that indicates polygamists and polyandrists have anything at all resembling the HIV/AIDS and syphilis rates of our nation's promiscuous homosexuals – so many of whom have died of AIDS and syphilis? Moreover, if the president believes that gays, lesbians and transsexuals are "our brothers and sisters," why does he not also believe that "our brothers and sisters" include not only polygamists, but exhibitionists, the incestuous, coprophiliacs, necrophiliacs, urophiliacs and zoophiliacs (those who have sex with animals who are unable – or unwilling – to run away)?
None of these additional sexual orientations has the huge rate of HIV/AIDS and syphilis, which deadly diseases are distributed so widely by the nation's large number of sexually profligate homosexuals. Their continued deadly-disease spreading was surely aided and abetted by Mr. Obama's announcement that they (with no distinction between the sexually profligate and other homosexuals) are "our brothers, our sisters, our children, our cousins, our friends, our co-workers." Such presidential pandering to deadly-disease spreaders is surely a despicable means of trying to attract votes by an incumbent who will apparently do anything to try to win re-election."
Please note that Les is WND's White House correspondent. This nutjob gets to stand up and ask the president questions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have to continue to expose the liers and Hatemongers for what they are. Desperate people who think it is OK to discriminate against anyone who does not fit their "Ideal".

McInerney Prosecutor: Killing Of Larry King Was Premeditated
crossposted from joemygod.com
Three years after then-8th grader Brandon McInerney murdered openly gay student Larry King in front of horrified classmates, a prosecutor in McInerney's just-launched trial says the killing was premeditated and based on the shooter's belief that homosexuality is an abomination. White supremacist materials were found in McInerney's home after the murder. King was bullied by McInerney and other boys at the school, Deputy Dist. Atty. Maeve Fox said in her opening statement in the trial, which is being conducted at a courthouse in Chatsworth. But shortly before his death, King had begun wearing high heels, makeup and earrings to school and had become more confident in himself, she said. “Larry King for the first time in his life wasn’t taking it anymore,” Fox said. “And he started to give people what I prefer to call the proverbial chin. Only it was more profane. The proverbial ‘f ... you.’” The day before King was shot, the two boys had been bickering in a eighth-grade science class, she said. When King got up to get a drink of water, “Brandon said ‘I am going to shoot him.’ And this is what a student will testify to.” The next day McInerney pulled a .22-caliber handgun out of his backpack and shot King in the head, authorities have said.McInerney's defense team claims that he was the victim of King's aggressive sexual bullying.

Happy 4th of July !!!!
The neighbors have started with the fireworks early as they are legal in Maryland so it has been noisy the last few nights. We will not have to leave the front porch for a good display tomorrow night. The Inner Harbor has a great show. Could be because the Star Spangled Banner was written here at Fort McHenry.
I have always been a proud American even when I was not. There have been times when I have been so tired of the way this country is run and the way some of us are treated that I wanted to give up. I have taken my flag and folded it up, not wanting to be proud. I have openly voiced my dismay at the laws, politicians, and presidents that have run us to the poor house, created laws that treat LGBT people like second class citizens, and have us fighting wars we should have never been in. I was ashamed of my country.
One day a good friend was listening to me go off about what a shameful place my country has become and how I have lost my patriotism. He told me something I will never forget.
He said that I was more of a patriot because I was angry and disappointed. My anger and frustration is because I love my country and want to see it be the place it should be and live up to the words "Freedom and Justice for All".
I think of his words when I put up my flag each morning. I remind myself of his words when I am disappointed or disgusted by those who do not want some of us to be free and equal.
I will to continue to voice my opinion and outrage at those who stand in the way of my Freedom, Justice, and Equality because....
I am an American and proud of it.
Happy 4th of July !!
Video From the Glee Project - -Very Good
The Glee Project on the Oxygen network is a singing competition with a twist: the winner gets a guest spot on the famous Fox show Glee. They also have to act and perform in music videos. This one is particularly moving in an episode where the young contests must honestly convey a secret vulnerability. Their version of “Mad World” is a kind of an ode to the “It Gets Better” Project.

Show Me the Money NOM !!!
NOM lost the "war" in New York after dumping a ton of money. Now they say they are going to dump 2 times the amount to get it repealed.
The question is where the money is coming from. They have been fighting in several states over this very question. They say that if they disclose their backers, they will be in danger from the evil gays.
Well.....They are about to lose again ! Check this out....
From Good As You...Shaking NOM's piggy bank: MN Board lends a hand
and Holy Bullies and Headless Monsters...NOM loses attempt to hide its funders in Minnesota
Note: There are good and bad in ever population. I do NOT condone threats or violence against anyone but sadly there will be some from the worst of our population.
Feel free to take the list and write letters letting them know what a bunch of hateful and bad people they are for supporting discrimination against us. For supporting a Hate Group that spread lies and filth about the LGBT population. For supporting a Hate Group that wants to see us gone or dead. For supporting the lie that being LGBT is a choice and can be changed.
Keep it clean and truthful.
Yes, I will be sending my share of letters as soon as the list is posted.

Ohio: Guns in Bars
Ohio Republican Governor John Kasich on Thursday signed into law a bill that allows gun owners in the state to carry concealed weapons into bars and other places where alcohol is served. The measure, which was forwarded to Kasich on June 22 by the Ohio General Assembly, was signed on Thursday afternoon. Kasich is scheduled to sign the Ohio budget later Thursday.
WTF !!! What is going on back home! Just what we need. Guns in the hands of a bunch of backwoods drunks.
Ever since I left there has been one embarrassment after another. John BoneHead is a good example of the dumbass thinking that goes on there.
FYI...Ohio has produced more serial killers than any other state including Charles Manson and Jeffery Dommer.
Now they let these nutjobs enter a bar with a concealed weapon.
I am going home for my Moms 70th birthday and frankly, I will be looking forward to escaping the state ASAP.
They not only do not like LGBT folks and do not recognize my marriage but now any ass hole can carry a concealed weapon any where. Scary.

TVC says we're shaming the Founding Fathers; This is Good
Crossposted from Good As You...
( I like the way this guy writes ) Enjoy...
Okay first off: We actually had a vote to spare in the New York Senate. We needed 32, we got 33. So no, it did not come down to only one legislator.
Now that this practical point is out of the way, you're free to go read the reliably offensive way the Traditional Values Coalition (a longtime SPLC-designated hate group) is positioning the New York vote as one that "encourages a culture" of "enslaving oneself to sexual depravity":
But TVC, you really need to quit telling anyone who will listen that we gay folk are seeking to turn the world upside down. Such enslavement to silliness might be good for filling the fear machine. Though when it comes to actually strengthening our "traditional values," these hyperbolic exercises are about as productive as enslaving oneself to civil discrimination.

...
In New York, the fate of millions hung on the tongue of one man as well.Credit where it's due: "Avarice" is a good word. Clearly TVC shares our love for the thesaurus, if not our love (syn: deep affection, fondness, tenderness, warmth, intimacy, attachment, endearment; devotion, adoration, doting, idolization, worship; passion, ardor, desire, lust, yearning, infatuation, besottedness) for homosexual relations.
We have no idea what promises were made, what was offered and what was taken. What we do know is that, when voices are silent, there are no boundaries to those who would use the power of government to enforce standards entirely alien to our own.
This one legislator doubled the size and scope of the homosexual movement, a movement committed not to enslaving one's person, but enslaving oneself to sexual depravity that only encourages a culture of the same for future generations of Americans.
Marriage is not for government to define. Marriage is a covenant with God.
Unless we as Americans protect this covenant from the reach and avarice of activists desperate to turn our world upside down, we may very well pass on a government our Founding Fathers would be ashamed to have inspired.
New York’s Gay Turn [TVC]
