Every group has it's extremes. Sports, music, religion, Adult Swim, and art all have members that are so far out there that they are the only ones. It is not to say that extremes are bad but they more often go against the grain of what ever "Normal" is.
On the Right we have groups like the KKK, Natzi, and Hate Groups like the American Family Asses and the National Org. for Marriage.
On the Left we have Gay Activist's Dan Savage and Dan Choi. ( I am on the left and both Dan's are my hero's )
Then somewhere in the extreme left there is GoProud.
This group has truly managed to merge the two extremes to create an anomaly. GoProud is a self-hating, Republican, Conservative, gay group. ( I never thought I would have to see all those things with gay in the same sentence.)
While I thought causing a stink at last years CPAC and being uninvited to this years because they were gay was great! They just proved that no matter what you think, do, or feel, they will never want a queer in their circle. They don't buy the whole gay/Republican/Conservative thing either.
Well they have just out done themselves!
They went and welcomed a woman who hates them to be “Honorary Chair and Gay Icon.” !
This is a WTF moment.
I am of the understanding that an icon in this context is that of someone to be looked up to, held in high esteem, or could impart wisdom. Ann Coulter is the extreme opposite of an icon. More like an i-sore as well as a bigot, blowhard, publicity junky who will say or do anything to be in the news. She is NOT to be confused with a "Fag Hag" because Fag Hags love gays and are way more fun.
The only thing they have in common is the self hating/Republican/Conservative part.
But then as much as she hates us LGBTs.....Hmmmmmmm.

Therefore, she's a perfect fit for the kapos at GOProud.
