Assisted suicide advocate Dr. Jack Kevorkian has died of a pulmonary thrombosis at the age of 84. Kevorkian claims to have helped over 100 terminally ill patients end their lives. He spent eight years in prison for doing so.
I thought he was a brave man of many talents who helped end the suffering and pain of the terminally ill.
It is sad that we can end the suffering of our family pets because it is humane but we have to watch and listen to the suffering of our family members until they finally pass. We can not watch a dog writhe in pain but we will watch a human.
As well as being a man of compassion, Jack Kevorkian was also a painter and jazz composer.
